After several days of rain, the first opportunity of 2026 to get out and capture a chilly sunrise in the Costa Brava.

Lloret de Mar comes with a party reputation, but especially outside of summer, it is a lovely peaceful place to start the day. Walking around the coastal path below the castle, you come out at Cala dels Frares, a place that shows off the rocky Costa Brava coast at its best.

Then once the sun has risen, a short walk back into Lloret de Mar itself in search of some interesting “street” images …
